Nicholas Rowan is a sound recordist, sound designer, animator and documentarian hailing from the beef capital of Queensland. In 2010 he graduated from QUT with a BFA majoring in sound design and on obsessive interest in film. As of 2013 he has no idea where the degree has gone but hasn't managed to lose the obsession. Having been described as one who revels in the absurd and a tobacco imbibing believer in the battler, Nicholas has a penchant for strange stories, colourful characters and a desire to share them. When he needs a break from flexing booms, rigging laveliers and pressing space bar, he particularly enjoys skateboarding, sandwiches, coffee and grapefruit. Recently he has started to think that olives may actually be non-toxic and if he was prime minister he would standardise camera audio inputs and mounting brackets.
